Thank you cards are sweet to receive, but a pain in the ass to write, especially if you’ve just had a large event like a shower or a wedding and are now responsible for scribing a hundred thank you cards. As much as you love your friends and family, the process of formally showing your gratitude can be a real time suck. ThankView founder JD Beebe wanted to avoid this time suck when he got married. The idea of writing out all of those thank you cards felt daunting and him and his wife actively sought out alternatives.
The best alternative they found was video. It was a way to quickly thank their loved ones while maintaining the personal touch we all appreciate. In 2015 he turned his idea into a company. ThankView allows people to send customized video thank you cards. The service allows customers to record individual messages to send to their contacts. Aside from not having to physically write anything (because we know your handwriting is atrocious), ThankView is also relatively inexpensive. The first five ThankViews are free and packages start at $20 for 25 ThankViews. Sure, it’s a bit more expensive than going the traditional route, but it saves a lot of time, and as they say, time is money.
