Selz, run by a team of around 50 in Sydney, Australia, bills itself as a one-stop-shop for small businesses to start selling products and services online. Many have seen the acquisition as an attempt to fight back against Shopify’s rampant growth during the coronavirus pandemic. Martin Rushe, the CEO and founder of Selz wrote a blog post announcing the deal.
