The community is designed to address the world’s pressing needs through premium programming, custom storytelling, and consumer engagement designed to inspire consumers to tap into their inner genius. In addition to all that, National Geographic will also hold The Chasing Genius Challenge, a competition aimed at finding innovative ideas that address the world’s problems. The goal is to develop products for everyday people that will make the world a more sustainable and healthy place to live.
It wouldn’t be a competition without a prize, which is why National Geographic is shelling out $100,00 in total ($25,000 for each of the four winners) to reward these innovative ideas. The money will ideally be used to further the winning ideas, so that saving the world becomes more of a community effort.
