Unfortunately, more people and businesses will continue to be victims of hackers who seek out information for profit or political gain. But there are steps you can take to protect your data against potential threats. At South by Southwest (SXSW) 2018, one of the must-see talks is a panel of cyber experts who will discuss their business’ or agency’s approach to the war on hackers and cyber criminals, and the latest strategies in cyber security to help businesses and individuals protect data against threats. The War Games: From Battlefield to Ballot Box panel, composed by Arlington Economic Development, include: Ann Cox, Program Manager/Mathematician of Department of Homeland Security: Cyber Security Division, Jennifer O’Daniel, Investment Director and Cofounder CIT GAP Funds of Center for Innovative Technology, Robert Johnson, President and CEO of Adlumin, and Jason Chen, Managing Director, Operations of MACH37. These panelists will also be on the hunt for new startups to help our government and other agencies win the war on cyber crime and discuss how founders can find capital to build their business. Check out the panel on March 9, 2018 at the Hilton Austin Downtown, Salon G from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. You can even “favorite” this must-see talk to your SXSW schedule here.
