Roceteer’s approach is to offer a full-time “Ground Team” of coaches and mentors located in Las Vegas, as well as a “Cloud Team” consisting of 1000+ remote mentors and advisors who will leverage today’s communication tools to work with local startups. Roceteer is a separate company to Downtown Project and is not involved in funding, but can offer support in many ways. Rowland is the former co-founder and Chief Happiness Officer of Style Tread (a business inspired by Zappos) as well as the former CEO of Wagamama (a British-headquartered restaurant chain). He spoke at Tech Cocktail Week Sessions in April 2013 in downtown Las Vegas while he was determining his next thing. Long before Roceteer was conceived, Rowland shared his love for coaching and mentoring and how to be “better human begins.” So creating a mentoring focused startup in downtown Vegas seems like a great fit and quite aligned with this passion. You can watch Rowland’s full video below about conquering fears as entrepreneurs as well as his interview Tech Cocktail Conversation from April 2013.
